The Stupor Bowl
As in drink and eat yourself into a. Unlike some of the games of recent years, the ones featuring the New England Patriots, the game this year did not really hold my attention. Other than that Seattle interception and the trick play by the Steelers, most of the game reminded me of a 49ers game. And by that I don't mean the 49ers when they were winning Super Bowls 55-10, I mean the 49ers… now.
Fortunately I was watching the "big game" (can't call it the Super Bowl since I haven't paid the NFL licensing fee to do so) at a friends' party, where I was able to network with some SixApartians (the people responsible for the very excellent blogging software I'm using, Typepad) and ate large amounts of roast crab.
The good news with the Super Bowl being done with is that it's less than two weeks until pitchers and catchers report to spring training. The As line-up is looking stacked this year, assuming things go their way. A Yankee fan, of all people, projects the As to win 96 games this year, using a baseball simulation program.
